Sympathy for Kermit Gosnell

There are tough minded people and weak minded people.  I appreciate tough-minded people.  You can learn from tough minded people, even those whom you disagree with.  Weak-minded people are of little to no value for the soul.  Nietzsche has done more for the Catholic Church as a tough minded atheist than any weak-minded Catholic ever has.

Which brings us to Kermit Gosnell.  The guy is a murderer there is no doubt.  Any man who takes live babies and decapitates them with scissors is a murderer.

But Gosnell is more than a murderer.  He is a tough minded murderer.  While being guilty of murder, he is also guilty of believing a weak-minded, morally bankrupt culture which says that killing a child in the womb 3 seconds before it is born is legal, but using scissors to decapitate that same child 3 seconds after it is born is murder.  That is not reason it is madness.

See, Gosnell, being tough-minded, realizes that there is no difference.  It seems that he saw no difference between abortion and infanticide.  That is a true tough-minded person.

And he's right.

I sympathize with Gosnell for living in a world with weak-minded people who willingly create fantasy worlds where murder and choice are determined by a microsecond, not by an absolute moral standard.  Shame on the weak-minded who told this man his whole life that he provided a beneficial service to society and then, because he does it on a time-table that the weak-minded are unwilling to face with logic and reason, they throw him into prison.  That is a violation of the moral absolute we call justice.  Said more simply, that is unjust.

The weak-minded will always attempt to incorporate the tough-minded into society, until the tough-minded make the weak-minded uncomfortable and force them into a position where they need to rebuke their weak-mindedness or eliminate those who are tough-minded.

Gosnell was jailed for being tough-minded.  He looked abortion in its ugly face and saw infanticide and said, 'this is good.'  His pro-abortion critics are hypocrites and liars.  They say, abortion is not infanticide but they cannot tell you why?  You have to be as tough-minded as Gosnell to try to do that.  They cannot do any such thing without destroying their fantasies of sex without consequences and killing without murder.

And because Gosnell was willing to drink the full glass that is the weak-minded pro-abortion/non pro-life Kool-aid, he was thrown into prison.  And yes, for that, again, I sympathize with him.  Society has treated him unjustly.

I'm just glad they didn't give him the death penalty.  They call it a penitentiary for a reason.  It is a place to endure penance.   And hopefully, with God's grace, seek repentance and forgiveness.  Even Gosnell deserves that.  #Mercy
